What your child can do
- Ask a question and hear a real answer, out loud
- A tutor that asks them to explain, not just guess
- Steer it with your own instructions from the parent app
- Look back over their conversations any time
What a kid-safe AI looks like
Optional, and always labeled
A Peko Pal works for stories, podcasts, radio, friends and more with the AI left off, and every AI app is labeled so you know which ones use it.
No always-on microphone
There is no wake word. Nothing is listening until your child holds the button, and a steady green light shows whenever the microphone is capturing.
A tutor that teaches, not tells
In Lessons, Peko asks your child to explain their thinking, narrows the question when they're stuck, and fixes the rule behind a wrong answer rather than just the answer.
Stories that answer back
In interactive books, your child holds the button mid-story and asks a question. Peko knows the story so far and answers without giving away the ending.
You set the rules
Your instructions
Write the instructions that steer the AI in the Peko Pal app, and choose topics for it to avoid. If your child raises one, Peko changes the subject gently.
Only friends you approve
Peko only contacts friends you've approved. When it looks something up online, it uses a kid-safe filter and reads back a short answer, never a web page.
See what happened
Read your child's conversations as written transcripts in the app. Transcripts keep only the words, never the audio, and are deleted after 90 days.
Lessons, your topic
Give a lesson a topic and a goal in your own words, and see your child's progress, skills and every question they were asked.
