# Terms of Use

Effective October 13, 2026

These terms cover the Peko Pal device (a "Pal"), the Peko Pal app and www.pekopal.com, all run by Peko Pal ("we", "us"). By using them you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

## Who can use Peko Pal

You must be an adult to create an account. You set up Peko Pal for children in your care, and you're responsible for how they use it. Children use Peko Pal only through a profile a parent creates.

## Your account

Keep access to your account to yourself and the other adults in your family. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete Account).

## Talking with Peko

Peko is an AI. It can be wrong, and it can misunderstand. It isn't a substitute for a grown-up's supervision, or for medical, legal or safety advice. You choose which AI apps are on your child's Pal, and you can read their conversations with Peko in the app.

## Friends and messages

Only invite families you know. Don't use Peko Pal to send anything unlawful, hurtful or inappropriate for children. If something worries you, report it in the app or email us, and you can block a family at any time.

## Reports and removing content

Content that is unlawful, hurtful or inappropriate for children isn't allowed on Peko Pal. You can report a message or a family in the app (press and hold a message, or open a friend, and tap **Report**) or by emailing the address on https://www.pekopal.com/support.

We review every report within 24 hours. When a report is right, we remove the content, and we suspend or close the account of anyone who breaks these terms. We may also remove content, or suspend or close an account, without a report if we find it ourselves.

## What you make

You own the messages, pictures and books you and your children create. You give us permission to store, process and deliver them to run Peko Pal for you and the friends you share them with.

## Fair use

Don't try to break, copy or reverse-engineer the service, get into other people's accounts, or use Peko Pal to harm anyone. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

## The Pal

Look after your Pal as the [guide](https://www.pekopal.com/guide/care-and-troubleshooting) describes. The Pal needs Wi-Fi and our servers for most features, and we update its software over the internet.

## Changes and ending

We may change Peko Pal and these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If we ever shut Peko Pal down, we'll tell you in advance.

## No warranty

We work hard to keep Peko Pal running and safe, but it's provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

## Law

These terms are governed by the laws of California.
