# Screen-free stories, podcasts and radio for kids

A Peko Pal plays stories, podcasts and internet radio out loud, with no screen. Your child chooses with the direction pad and plays or pauses with the action button. You choose what's available.

## Stories and podcasts

Stories and podcasts are downloaded to the device, so once they're on it they play anywhere, with no Wi-Fi.

- **Podcasts** play episodes from one kid-safe show that you chose. There's no searching or browsing, so your child can only hear the show you picked. Each episode remembers where it was paused. See [Podcasts](https://www.pekopal.com/guide/app-podcasts).

## Radio

Radio plays live internet radio stations: music channels, story stations and more. It needs a Wi-Fi connection. Only the stations you've added are available, and your child can't search for more. The Peko Pal says each station's name as your child moves between them. See [Radio](https://www.pekopal.com/guide/app-radio).

## Easy for a child who can't read yet

Every action gets a spoken response or a sound, and the logo glows to show what the device is doing, so a child who can't read yet can still choose by ear.

## You stay in charge

- Choose the apps on the device from the Peko Pal app.
- Set a maximum volume so playback never gets too loud. See [Volume and brightness](https://www.pekopal.com/guide/volume).
